Hanu Raghavapudi confirms Prabhas’ Fauzi will release in two parts, exploring different dimensions of the soldier’s story. The film targets an August 2026 release.
Director Hanu Raghavapudi has officially confirmed that Fauzi, his upcoming film with Prabhas, will be released in two parts. The period action-drama, backed by Mythri Movie Makers, features Prabhas as a member of the Azad Hind Force in a fictional retelling inspired by India’s colonial era.
Hanu revealed that the first instalment will explore one world of Prabhas’ character, while the second will dive deeper into another dimension of the narrative. “Our colonial past holds countless stories—some tragic, some heroic. I’ve also woven in real-life experiences that personally moved me,” he said.
Posters released so far carry Sanskrit shlokas from the Mahabharata, suggesting that mythology heavily influences the film’s themes. The tagline, “A battalion who fights alone,” hints at Prabhas playing a determined and rebellious soldier—possibly one who rises against his own superiors. A concept poster previously described him as “the most wanted man since 1932.”
Fauzi also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Chaithra Achar and Jaya Prada. The music is composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar, with cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The film is targeting an August 2026 release.
Meanwhile, Prabhas will be seen next in Maruthi’s The Raja Saab, slated for January 2026.
