Pawan Kalyan Clarifies His Future in Films: Acting Might Pause, But Cinema Will Continue Through His Banner

At the pre-release event of his much-awaited period action film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan opened up about his future in cinema. With growing comparisons to Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay—who recently quit films to fully commit to politics—Pawan was asked if he too would take a similar path. He clarified that while politics now demands much of his time, he will not completely detach from the film world.

“Cinema will always be close to my heart,” Pawan said, adding that he no longer feels the need to keep acting. Instead, he plans to stay involved in the industry by producing films under his own banner, PK Creative Works. This shift allows him to balance both his artistic roots and his political responsibilities—especially now that he serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking about the prolonged delay of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Pawan acknowledged that his political commitments contributed to the interruptions in the filming process. He thanked producer A.M. Rathnam for managing the project through challenges such as two COVID waves and creative halts. The film has finally wrapped and is scheduled to release theatrically on July 24, after which it will stream on Amazon Prime Video.

The star-studded cast includes Bobby Deol, Nargis Fakhri, Nora Fatehi, Sathyaraj, and Vikramjeet Virk, promising a grand spectacle rooted in action and drama.
