Mrunal Thakur Wraps Shoot for Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit as Film Gears Up for March Release

The much-anticipated action drama Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh, is steadily moving towards its theatrical release, with the makers announcing a key milestone. Actor Mrunal Thakur has officially completed filming her portions for the project, bringing the film a step closer to the finish line.

Marking Adivi Sesh’s return to the big screen after nearly four years, Dacoit is slated for a grand worldwide release on March 19, 2026, across Telugu and Hindi markets. The recently released teaser generated strong buzz, drawing attention to the film’s scale, gritty tone, and intriguing cast.

Directed by Shaneil Deo, the film features Mrunal Thakur as the female lead, with filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap playing a pivotal role. Announcing the update on social media, the makers shared, “It’s a wrap for @mrunal0801 as she completes her shoot for the high-octane drama #Dacoit with an exhilarating schedule. Gearing up for a grand worldwide release on March 19, 2026, in Hindi and Telugu.”

Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and Suniel Narang, Dacoit has been mounted on a lavish scale. Earlier, Adivi Sesh revealed that every scene was shot separately in Telugu and Hindi to ensure both versions feel authentic and seamless, rather than dubbed.

The film also boasts a strong ensemble cast including Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla in key roles. Music is composed by Bheems Cecirolio, who recently earned acclaim for Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. Adding to the nostalgia, the teaser featured a reimagined version of Nagarjuna’s iconic song Kannu Kottaro, which resonated instantly with audiences.

With post-production progressing smoothly and promotions gaining momentum, Dacoit is shaping up to be one of Adivi Sesh’s most awaited films, promising a powerful and intense cinematic experience.
