Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli’s SSMB29 To Be Released in Two Parts

Mahesh Babu's highly anticipated collaboration with director SS Rajamouli, tentatively titled SSMB29, is set to be a grand two-part franchise, according to reports. Currently in pre-production, the movie is expected to begin filming in January 2025.
The film’s screenplay, crafted over two years by Rajamouli’s father, Vijayendra Prasad, promises to introduce a completely new cinematic universe. With a reported budget of ₹900-1000 crores,SSMB29 is positioned as a global cinematic feature. While official confirmation of the two-part release is pending, insiders suggest Mahesh Babu’s role may draw inspiration from Lord Hanuman in Hindu mythology.
The project aims to feature international talent, further enhancing its scale and appeal. Mahesh has minimized public appearances to keep his look under wraps.
Last seen in Guntur Kaaram, which received mixed reviews, Mahesh also voiced Mufasa in the Telugu version of The Lion King. Fans eagerly await this epic venture by the Baahubali director.
