‘Epic — First Semester’ Teaser: A Sekhar Kammula-Style Hero Falls for a Sandeep Reddy Vanga-Style Heroine

The first teaser of Epic — First Semester, starring Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, is out—marking the duo’s reunion after the blockbuster Baby. The film, directed by 90s — A Middle Class Biopic maker Aditya Hasan, officially announced its title alongside the new glimpse released on Monday.

The teaser opens with Vaishnavi's character at her convocation, listing the qualities she imagines in her perfect life partner. Cleverly interwoven are sequences from 90s — A Middle Class Biopic, which establish this film as its sequel. Here, Anand Deverakonda plays the grown-up version of Master Rohan Roy’s character Aditya—someone who seems to embody the exact opposite of her dream man.

The teaser finally shifts gears to reveal Anand’s character confidently moving through a crowd of foreigners while dressed in traditional native attire. It ends with a cheeky caption, describing the film as “a love story between a Sandeep Reddy Vanga heroine and a Sekhar Kammula hero,” hinting at a clash of personalities and storytelling styles.

Epic — First Semester is produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments. Hesham Abdul Wahab is composing the music, with Azeem Mohammad handling cinematography and Navin Nooli as the editor. Director Aditya Hasan has also written the script for the film.
