Chennai witnessed a grand event on Sunday as the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule launched the much-anticipated song Kissik. Stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Sreeleela graced the event alongside music composer Devi Sri Prasad (DSP), who addressed rumors of a rift with the film's producers. Watch.

Speaking on stage, DSP jokingly remarked that the producers have “more complaints about me than love.” He further added, “Ravi Shankar sir, you’ve been blaming me for delays in delivering the song and the background score. But where there is love, there are complaints too.”

Rumors of Rift Addressed

Speculation had surfaced earlier that the Pushpa 2 team was dissatisfied with DSP due to delays in delivering the background score. Reports suggested that other composers, including Thaman, Ajaneesh Loknath, and Sam CS, had been approached to assist with the score.

DSP lightheartedly shared his experience, recounting how he was asked to delay his entry for the cameras but rushed in as soon as he heard the song being played. “When I arrived, they said, ‘Wrong timing, sir. You’re late.’ What can I do? I’m always open,” he quipped.

DSP's Legacy with Pushpa

Devi Sri Prasad, who won a National Award for his music in Pushpa: The Rise, has played a pivotal role in shaping the film's musical identity. Pushpa 2: The Rule, the highly awaited sequel to Sukumar’s 2021 blockbuster, is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.

Scheduled for a grand release on December 5, Pushpa 2: The Rule will hit theaters in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali, promising to be a cinematic spectacle.
