Anurag Kashyap Joins Adivi Sesh’s ‘Dacoit - Ek Prem Katha’

Kashyap will portray a fearless, sharp-minded, and witty police officer, Inspector Swamy.His character is a staunch devotee of Lord Ayyappa with zero tolerance for corruption.The makers unveiled his character look poster, and Anurag Kashyap shared the update on Instagram, writing:“Fearless, witty, and brutally honest - Introducing the BRILLIANT @anuragkashyap10 to Telugu as ‘Inspector Swamy’ in Adivi Sesh’s #DACOIT.”

Dacoit - Ek Prem Katha follows the journey of an enraged convict seeking revenge on his ex-girlfriend, who betrayed him. As he devises a dangerous plan to trap her, the story unfolds into a high-stakes saga of love, betrayal, and vengeance. Expressing his excitement, Kashyap stated:

“Playing a police officer who is an Ayyappa devotee is both fun and challenging.” The dilemma of duty versus dharma, combined with a dry sense of humor, makes the character intriguing. He is thrilled to be shooting in both Hindi and Telugu, ensuring equal impact in both languages.

Directed by Shaneil Deo, the film is simultaneously being shot in Hindi and Telugu. The story and screenplay are co-written by Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo.

Filming is currently underway in Hyderabad, with a major schedule planned in Maharashtra. With a stellar cast, gripping premise, and a blend of action, drama, and emotions, Dacoit - Ek Prem Katha is shaping up to be an exciting cinematic experience!
