Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit gets a new festival release after missing Christmas. The romantic action-thriller’s release date will be announced tomorrow at 1:08 PM.
After a long wait, Adivi Sesh is all set to make his comeback with Dacoit, a romantic action-thriller that has been generating huge buzz. Initially slated for a Christmas 2025 release, the film was postponed due to on-set injuries sustained by the actor.
On Monday, Sesh took to X (formerly Twitter) to share an update, revealing a new poster and writing, “We missed the Christmas release, but a festival release is fixed. Which festival? I will share tomorrow.” The official release date will be announced on Tuesday at 1:08 PM.
While there’s speculation that Dacoit could eye a Sankranthi 2026 release, trade circles note that the period is already packed with big Telugu films like The Raja Saab, Nara Nara Naduma Murari, Anaganaga Oka Raju, and Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, making it a challenging slot.
Directed by Shaneil Deo, Dacoit features Mrunal Thakur as the female lead, portraying a character caught between love, loyalty, and vengeance. The Fire Glimpse teaser released in May offered a taste of high-stakes drama, showcasing explosive action sequences, including a train crash, and Anurag Kashyap’s intense Telugu debut as a police officer.
Backed by Supriya Yarlagadda and co-produced by Suniel Narang under Annapurna Studios, Dacoit features music by Bheems Ceciroleo and will release in Telugu and Hindi, with dubbed versions in multiple languages to reach a pan-India audience.
