A film based on the story of Pandyas, 'Yaathisai' is slated to release this Friday, Jan 21. 'Yaathisai' is mainly focused on the Pandya King Ranadheeran, and the film's sneak peek has given a clear introduction to the film.

Guru Somasundram has explained who is Ranadheeran through the latest video, and it seems like the history of Pandyas is set to be well explained ahead of 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' that explains the history of Cholas.

Directed by Dharani Rasendran, 'Yaathisai' features Shakthi Mithran, Seyon, Rajalakshmi, Guru Somasundram, Chandrakumar, Semmalar Annam, Subathra, Samar, and Vijay Seyon among others in main roles. Chakravarthy scored the music, while the cinematography and editing are handled respectively by Akhilesh Kathamuthu and Mahendran Ganesan. The reservation for the film is open now across locations, and the film is expected to have a decent number of screens.
