Vishwanath and Sons Teaser: Suriya Navigates a Complex Romance

The teaser of Vishwanath and Sons has been unveiled, offering a glimpse into the emotional drama starring Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles.

Written and directed by Venky Atluri, the film is a Tamil–Telugu bilingual scheduled to release in theatres in July.

The teaser introduces Suriya as Sanjay Vishwanath, an Olympian shooter grappling with the realities of ageing and its impact on his career. His life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Maddy, a lively and free-spirited young woman played by Mamitha Baiju. Despite a 20-year age gap, she develops feelings for him, hinting at a complicated relationship that intertwines with Sanjay’s professional struggles.

The film also marks the return of Raveena Tandon to Tamil cinema nearly 25 years after her appearance in Aalavandhan. The supporting cast includes Bhavani Sre, Sunil Reddy and Karate Karthi.

On the technical front, the music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, continuing his collaboration with Venky Atluri after Vaathi and Lucky Bhaskar.

The film’s crew includes cinematographer Nimish Ravi, editor Navin Nooli, production designer Banglan and stunt choreographer V. Venkat.

Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banner of Sithara Entertainments, the project is also backed by Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios.

Meanwhile, Netflix has secured the film’s post-theatrical streaming rights.
