Thug Life Trailer: Kamal Haasan Returns to Action in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Thug Life’ Packed with Drama and Conflict

Unveiled at a grand event on May 17, the trailer features Kamal Haasan, Trisha Krishnan, and Silambarasan TR (Simbu) in powerful roles. The visuals hint at a complex narrative, exploring the intense bond between Kamal’s and Simbu’s characters, with dramatic twists as the duo turns adversaries in a life-and-death struggle.

Kamal Haasan, who also penned the story, plays the central role of a gangster bound by destiny. Simbu’s character, Amar, is introduced as a savior-turned-rival, setting the stage for a powerful emotional conflict. Trisha appears in a key role, adding to the film’s star-studded ensemble.

The film also features an impressive supporting cast, including Abhirami, Nasser, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Gautham Karthik, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Vaiyapuri.

Thug Life is jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies. With AR Rahman composing the music, Ravi K Chandran handling the cinematography, and Sreekar Prasad on editing duties, the film promises technical brilliance along with a gripping narrative.

Thug Life is slated for a theatrical release on June 5, 2025, and is poised to be a landmark in Tamil cinema.
