‘Thennaattu Sirukki’ Song Released from Yuvan Krishna–Ammu Abirami Starrer Jockey

With Jockey gearing up for a theatrical release on January 23, the makers have unveiled the film’s fourth single, Thennaattu Sirukki, on Wednesday. The romantic folk track features Yuvan Krishna and Ammu Abirami and adds a melodic flavour to the film’s album.

Composed by Sakthi Balaji, Thennaattu Sirukki is sung by Kapil Kapilan, with lyrics penned by R Lavarathan. The song follows previously released tracks including the Jockey Theme Song, Alangaari, and Yaaru Yaaru, all of which helped build anticipation around the film.

Director Pragabal has described Jockey as an animal-sport entertainer blended with strong gangster elements. Speaking about the film, he said that the story transitions into a gangster drama due to conflicts arising within the sport, leading to intense action both on and off the field. He added that the emotional core of the narrative gives depth and justification to the action-packed sequences.

Jockey marks the second collaboration between Pragabal and actors Yuvan Krishna and Ridhaan Krishna after Muddy. The film also stars Ammu Abirami as the female lead, with Madhu Sudhan Rao playing a key role.

The technical team includes cinematographer Udhayakumar, editor Srikanth, music composer Sakthi Balaji, art director C Udhayakumar, and stunt choreographer Prabhu Jacky. Jockey will hit theatres alongside Vignesh Karthick’s Hot Spot 2 Much and Mohan G’s Draupathi 2.
