Soori’s Mandaadi Wraps Shoot, Promises a Unique Coastal Sports Drama

Actor Soori’s upcoming sports action drama Mandaadi has officially wrapped its shoot after what the makers describe as an extensive and demanding schedule. Directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, the film has already generated curiosity for its focus on a lesser-known sport rooted in Tamil Nadu’s coastal regions.

Set against the backdrop of fishing communities, Mandaadi delves into a distinctive coastal world. The title refers to a skilled individual who understands ocean currents and wind patterns, leading fishing expeditions—adding a unique cultural layer to the narrative.

The film features Suhas, marking his Tamil debut, alongside Mahima Nambiar as the female lead. The ensemble cast also includes Sathyaraj, Ravindra Vijay, Mithun, and Balasaravanan.

On the technical front, the film boasts music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by SR Kathir, editing by Pradeep E Ragav, and action choreography by Peter Hein, Dhilip Subburayan, and Mahesh Mathew.

With filming now complete, Mandaadi has moved into post-production, and an official release date is expected to be announced soon.
