Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Seyon’ Teaser Unveiled on His 40th Birthday; October 2026 Release Confirmed

On the occasion of his 40th birthday (February 17), Sivakarthikeyan treated fans to a powerful teaser of his upcoming film Seyon. Produced by Kamal Haasan, the film is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan and is slated for a theatrical release in October 2026.

The teaser opens at the Chekkanurani police station in Madurai district, where tension brews following an incident during the Maasi Kalari festival at the Karumathur Virumandi temple. Festivalgoers recount how a mysterious man assaulted unruly youngsters for flashing laser lights at dancers and even confronted a religious play performer. Rumours swirl about his identity — is he an atheist? Or someone who “summons God”?

The answer arrives in dramatic fashion. In a pulsating hero-entry moment, Sivakarthikeyan appears in a trance-like state, believed to be possessed by ‘Lord Virumaandi’. As the powerful ‘Seyon’ theme kicks in, an elderly woman proclaims, “The OG is back,” before the protagonist declares, “Here I come.” The teaser hints at a mass entertainer rooted in faith, folklore, and action.

Music for the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, with cinematography by Vivek Vijayakumar and editing by San Lokesh. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan along with R Mahendran.

With its blend of mysticism, action, and festival backdrop, Seyon promises to be a grand theatrical spectacle in 2026.
