‘Ratnamala’ Unveils Sivakarthikeyan–Sreeleela’s Tender Romance in Parasakthi

The second single from Parasakthi, titled ‘Ratnamala’, offers a refreshing and tender glimpse into the evolving romance between Sivakarthikeyan and Sreeleela. Following the playful energy of the hit track Adi Alaye, this new song takes their relationship forward, portraying moments of warmth, comfort, and emotional closeness.

Sung soulfully by GV Prakash Kumar, with lyrics by Jayashree Mathimaran, the melody has a breezy, heartfelt tone. A BTS video also reveals choreographer Brindha guiding the lead actors through graceful dance sequences that match the song’s gentle mood.

Set in the 1960s, Parasakthi is a period drama directed by Sudha Kongara, reportedly centred on the 1965 Anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan and marks Sreeleela’s Tamil debut. Ravi Mohan plays the antagonist for the first time in his career, while Atharvaa appears in a significant role. Though unconfirmed by the team, Rana Daggubati is also expected to feature in the cast. Details about the characters are still under wraps.

This marks Sudha Kongara’s fourth directorial after Drohi, Irudhi Suttru, and Soorarai Potru. She has penned the script with Arjun Nadesan, supported by Ganeshaa on the screenplay and Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy on dialogues.

GV Prakash Kumar, reuniting with Sudha after Soorarai Potru, has composed the music, with lyricists including Yugabharathi, Arivu, Kaber Vasuki, Jayashree Mathimaran, Ekadesi, Ramajogayya Sastry, and Bhaskar Batla contributing to the album.

The technical team includes Ravi K Chandran (cinematography), Sathish Surya (editing), S Annadurai (art direction), and Supreme Sundar (action choreography). Produced by Aakash Baskaran under Dawn Pictures, the film has Dev Ramnath as creative producer, with MP Senthel and Rhea Kongara serving as executive producers. Red Giant Movies will distribute the film.

With dubbing and post-production progressing steadily, Parasakthi is gearing up for a January 14, 2026 release.
