Nayanthara and Kavin Team Up for Vishnu Edavan’s Directorial Debut Titled ‘Hi’

The long-awaited collaboration between Nayanthara and Kavin finally has a title — Hi. The makers officially announced the name of the film, which marks the directorial debut of Vishnu Edavan, a former assistant to Lokesh Kanagaraj and an accomplished lyricist.

Hi brings together a promising creative team, with cinematography by Rajesh Shukla, editing by Philomin Raj, music composed by Jen Martin, and art and stunt direction handled by Sekar B and Dinesh Kasi, respectively. The film also marks the fourth collaboration between Kavin and Jen Martin after Dada (2023), Bloody Beggar (2024), and Kiss (2025). Editor Philomin Raj, known for his association with Lokesh Kanagaraj’s films, joins Vishnu Edavan for his maiden venture.

Produced by Lalit Kumar under Seven Screen Productions, Hi is among the most anticipated Tamil projects of the year.

Nayanthara, who recently appeared in Netflix’s Test alongside R. Madhavan and Siddharth, is set to reprise her divine avatar in Mookuthi Amman 2 directed by Sundar C. Her upcoming slate also includes big-ticket films like Patriot, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.

Kavin, on the other hand, was last seen in Kiss (2025) directed by Satish Krishnan and will next star in Mask, directed by debutant Vikarnan Ashok, alongside Andrea Jeremiah.
