Legend Saravanan’s Leader Unveils Gritty Glimpse, April Release Window Locked

Legend Saravanan is all set to return to the big screen with his second film, Leader, an action-packed entertainer directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar. Along with announcing the title, the makers have released a gripping glimpse that offers a peek into the film’s intense emotional core. Leader is slated to hit theatres this April, though an exact release date is yet to be revealed.

The glimpse introduces a dark, violent underworld conflict triggered by the loss of nine mysterious containers. As chaos unfolds, it becomes clear that the man behind the ruthless retaliation is a father on a mission. Legend Saravanan plays a doting parent who unleashes fury after his daughter is kidnapped. The action escalates into a full-blown revenge saga, culminating in a powerful moment where he declares, “In the eyes of a child, every father is a superhero.” The glimpse also reveals that his daughter has a hearing impairment, adding emotional depth to the narrative.

Payal Rajput plays the female lead, marking another prominent addition to the cast. The ensemble also includes Sham, Andrea, Santhosh Prathap, Lal, Baahubali Prabhakar, Amirtha Aiyer, VTV Ganesh, OAK Sundar, Mahanadhi Shankar, and several others in key roles.

Shot across Thoothukudi, Jaipur, Ooty, Georgia, and Chennai, Leader went on floors in June 2024 and wrapped its shoot in September 2025. Director Durai Senthilkumar, known for films like Ethir Neechal, Kodi and Garudan, describes the project as a gripping entertainer about an ordinary man caught between the underworld and the police, fighting to protect his loved ones.

The film’s technical team includes music composer Ghibran Vaibodha, cinematographer S Venkatesh, and editor Pradeep E Raghav. Leader is produced by The Legend New Saravana Stores Productions.
