Kiss, starring Kavin and Preethi Asrani, is a rom-com with a twist, hitting theatres on September 19. Kavin plays a man allergic to romance and intimacy, who can even predict the fate of relationships after a kiss. Directed by debutant choreographer Sathish Krishnan, the film promises love, heartbreak, and laughter.

The trailer of Kiss, starring Kavin and Preethi Asrani, has dropped, giving a glimpse into a quirky romantic comedy that flips love tropes on their head. The film, directed by National Award-winning choreographer Sathish Krishnan in his directorial debut, is slated for a theatrical release on September 19.

The trailer introduces Kavin’s character as someone who cringes at the sight of romance and believes love only leads to downfall. He even has the bizarre ability to predict the future of relationships by simply watching couples kiss. However, his beliefs begin to waver when he himself falls in love, leading to a story filled with heart, humor, and heartbreak.

Joining the cast are Mirchi Vijay, VTV Ganesh, Devayani, Prabhu, Rao Ramesh, and Sakthi Raj, adding both comedy and drama to the film. With music by Jen Martin, cinematography by Harish Kannan, and editing by RC Pranav, Kiss also features additional dialogues penned by Mugil and R Savarimuthu.

This marks Kavin’s sixth outing as an actor after his 2023 releases Star and Bloody Beggar. He also has Mask and Hi lined up with debut directors Vikarnan Ashok and Vishnu Edavan. Kiss will be clashing at the box office with Vijay Antony’s Shakthi Thirumagan.

For Preethi Asrani, Kiss follows her Tamil debut in Ayothi (2023) and her recent appearance in Election (2024). Director Sathish Krishnan, who recently won the National Award for Best Choreography for the chartbuster Megham Karukatha from Thiruchitrambalam, makes his feature film debut with this quirky rom-com.

With its offbeat premise and lively performances, Kiss promises to be a refreshing spin on love, laughter, and the chaos of relationships.
