‘Kannakuzhikaaraa’: First Single from Vijay Sethupathi–Mysskin’s Train Unveiled

The makers of Train, the upcoming time-bound thriller starring Vijay Sethupathi and directed by Mysskin, have released the film’s first single, titled Kannakuzhikaaraa. The song was unveiled on Tuesday, offering audiences an early glimpse into the film’s tone and musical landscape.

A melodic track celebrating the heroics of the protagonist, Kannakuzhikaaraa is composed by Mysskin himself, with lyrics penned by Kabilan. The song is sung by Shruti Haasan, who also plays the female lead in the film. Adding to the intrigue, the lyrical video features behind-the-scenes moments from the shoot, giving fans a peek into the making of the project.

Apart from Vijay Sethupathi and Shruti Haasan, Train boasts a strong supporting cast that includes Nassar, Narain, and Ira Dayanand. Notably, actor Narain is reuniting with Mysskin after more than a decade, following their earlier collaborations in Anjathey (2008) and Mugamoodi (2012).

Filming for Train commenced in December 2023, and the first look released in January 2025 had already hinted at Mysskin’s distinctive musical approach, again featuring vocals by Shruti Haasan.

The film is produced by Kalaipuli V Thanu under the V Creations banner, with Fowzia Fathima handling cinematography and Sri Watson overseeing the editing. While Train has generated steady buzz with its updates, the makers are yet to announce an official release date.
