he trailer for Friday, an upcoming gangster crime thriller directed by Hari Venkatesh, introduces a dark, revenge-driven narrative where an ordinary man turns to violence for justice.
Released on Thursday, the trailer features Mime Gopi as a scheming politician and Anish Masilamani as his ruthless hitman. When Dheena, a regular citizen, becomes a victim of their wrongdoing, he decides to retaliate — setting off a bloody chain of events.
Produced by Dakdam Motion Pictures, the film also includes Ramachandra Duraraj in a significant role, with Kalaiarasan, Chithrasena, and Sidhu Kumaresan forming the supporting cast.
Friday is reported to adopt a non-linear narrative, unfolding entirely over one intense night packed with unexpected twists. Much of the film was reportedly shot around the Kolachal coastal belt and its bustling harbour. Surya Gandhimathi joins Hari Venkatesh as co-director.
On the technical front, Johny Nash leads cinematography, supported by Kavin Asker and Nataraj. Dumae composes the film’s score, Pravin handles editing duties, and Karthi Loga serves as art director.
Friday is set to hit theatres on November 28, releasing alongside Revolver Rita, Rajini Gaang, and Ondimuniyum Nallapaadanum in Tamil.
