Dhanush Turns Intense in Kara Trailer; Gulf War Drama Set for April 30 Release

The trailer of Kara has been released, offering a gripping glimpse into a high-stakes action drama set during the 1991 Gulf War. The film stars Dhanush in a powerful and intense role, marking another transformation for the actor.

Directed by Vignesh Raja, known for Por Thozhil, the film explores a turbulent period in history when oil wells in Kuwait were set ablaze, leading to a global fuel crisis. This backdrop plays a crucial role in shaping the film’s narrative.

Dhanush plays Karasaami, also known as Kara, a former robber who is forced back into crime due to harsh circumstances. Driven by the need to protect his family, he gets involved in a series of bank robberies, setting the stage for a tense and emotional journey.

The trailer also introduces a determined police officer, played by Suraj Venjaramoodu, who is on Kara’s trail. Their cat-and-mouse chase forms the core conflict of the story, while questions around Kara’s past and redemption add emotional depth.
