Anurag Kashyap Leads a Terrifying Digital Thriller in Sam Anton’s Unkill_123

Ishari K Ganesh’s Vels Film International has announced its next venture, titled Unkill_123, featuring Anurag Kashyap in the lead role alongside Sangitha. Directed by Sam Anton, the film’s first-look poster teases a chilling concept — Anurag’s character is seen with broken eyewear, and the tagline ominously reads, “Every click has a consequence.” The poster’s words, “Like. Share. Die.”, perfectly capture its haunting tone.

Written by Sam Anton and Savari Muthu, Unkill_123 is described as a gripping psychological thriller that delves into the dangers of digital obsession and the cost of online fame. Anurag Kashyap plays an ordinary man whose pursuit of social media popularity spirals into obsession, leading to emotional breakdown, loneliness, and identity loss.

According to the makers, the film mirrors the dark underbelly of today’s influencer culture, exploring how validation, envy, and insecurity dominate the digital world.

Producer Ishari K Ganesh said, “We’ve all seen influencers rise to fame online, but very few talk about the emotional cost — the loneliness and pressure behind the screens. Unkill_123 is a story that exposes both the glamour and pain of this fame culture.”

Known for films like Enakku Innoru Per Irukku, Gurkha, and Buddy, Sam Anton promises a thriller that’s both socially relevant and emotionally charged.

The film’s technical team includes Jerard Felix for music, Krishnan Vasant for cinematography, and Naash as editor.

For Anurag Kashyap, this marks another intriguing turn in his acting career. After his cameo in Vetri Maaran’s Viduthalai Part 2, he will next appear in One 2 One opposite Sundar C, and make his Telugu debut in Dacoit: A Love Story, co-starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur.
