Vismaya Mohanlal’s ‘Thudakkam’ Pooja Ceremony to Be Held Tomorrow in Kochi

Mohanlal’s daughter Vismaya Mohanlal is officially stepping into the world of cinema with her debut film titled Thudakkam (The Beginning). The film’s pooja ceremony will be held tomorrow at 9:30 AM at Crown Plaza, Kochi, marking the formal launch of one of the most-anticipated debuts in Malayalam cinema.

Thudakkam will be directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, known for 2018: Everyone is a Hero and Om Shanthi Oshana, while Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas will back the project. Although the makers have kept plot details under wraps, the combination of Jude’s storytelling and Aashirvad’s production has already sparked excitement.

The event coincides with two major Mohanlal family milestones — the release of Pranav Mohanlal’s horror film Dies Irae, directed by Rahul Sadasivan (Bhoothakaalam, Bramayugam), and the upcoming release of Mohanlal’s own pan-Indian film Vrusshabha, directed by Nanda Kishore, slated for November 6.

Sharing his joy over his daughter’s debut, Mohanlal recently posted,

“Dear Mayakutty, may your ‘Thudakkam’ be just the first step in a lifelong love affair with cinema.”

Vismaya, who has trained extensively in Muay Thai and other martial arts, has reignited speculation that Thudakkam could feature strong action elements. Interestingly, like his sister, Pranav Mohanlal also began his acting journey with an action film — Aadhi, directed by Jeethu Joseph.

With a promising team and a cinematic legacy to live up to, Thudakkam truly marks a powerful new beginning for the Mohanlal family.
