Vismaya Mohanlal’s Debut Film Thudakkam Set for August Release

Vismaya Mohanlal’s much-awaited acting debut Thudakkam has officially locked its release date. The makers announced that the film will hit theatres on August 7 during the trailer launch event of Drishyam 3 held on Saturday.

Directed and co-written by Jude Anthany Joseph, Thudakkam recently wrapped up its principal photography. The screenplay has been penned by Jude alongside Linish Nellikkal and Akhil Krishna.

The film also stars Aashish Joe Antony, son of producer Antony Perumbavoor, who is backing the project under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner. Supporting roles are played by Bobby Kurian and Jibin Gopinath. Reports also suggest that Mohanlal will appear in an extended cameo role.

While the makers have kept plot details under wraps, the film boasts a strong technical crew, including cinematographer Jomon T John, composer Jakes Bejoy, editor Chaman Chakko, and action choreographers Yannick Ben and Stunt Silva.

Thudakkam joins a packed August release slate that includes Khalifa, I'm Game, and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit.
