Tharun Moorthy and Prithviraj Unite for Operation Java Sequel — Operation Cambodia

Director Tharun Moorthy has officially announced the sequel to his acclaimed 2021 thriller Operation Java. Titled Operation Cambodia, the new film will see superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran leading the cast, alongside the return of Balu Varghese, Lukman Avaran, Binu Pappu, Alexander Prasanth, and Irshad Ali from the original.

While Operation Java revolved around real-life cybercrime investigations, the sequel is expected to be more action-heavy, hinted by the guns-and-bullets theme of its title poster.

The core technical team is also back—cinematographer Faiz Siddik and composer Jakes Bejoy, while editing will be handled by Shafeeque VB, who previously co-edited Tharun’s Thudarum.

Produced by Worldwide Films, V Cinemas International, and Tharun’s new banner The Manifestation Studio, Operation Cambodia promises to elevate the cybercrime thriller universe to a larger, high-octane scale.

Before diving into the sequel, Tharun will first direct Torpedo, a multistarrer featuring Fahadh Faasil, Naslen, Arjun Das, and Ganapathi, with longtime collaborator Binu Pappu making his scripting debut and serving as co-director on Operation Cambodia.
