Patriot Trailer: Mammootty & Mohanlal Unite for a High-Stakes Tech Thriller

The much-awaited trailer of Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, has finally been unveiled, offering a gripping glimpse into its high-stakes narrative. Backed by Anto Joseph, the film stars Mammootty and Mohanlal in pivotal roles.

The 3-minute-32-second trailer sets up a tense storyline centered around Shakti Solutions, a company linked to a controversial software named Samaj Seva. Characters played by Mammootty and Kunchacko Boban appear to turn rogue after the system begins interfering with everyday civilian life.

The trailer opens with Nayanthara urging another character to stand up against societal judgment, followed by a powerful exchange involving Revathy, who plays a senior minister questioning the ethical use of the software. Rajiv Menon and Fahadh Faasil are also introduced, with the latter portraying a representative of Shakti Solutions presenting the system.

As the narrative unfolds, Mammootty’s character, Daniel—who identifies himself as a dissident—goes on the run after uncovering troubling truths about the software. Determined to expose the reality, he joins forces with his longtime friend, a soldier played by Mohanlal, even as he is branded a traitor.

Kunchacko Boban’s character supports their mission, while Fahadh Faasil’s role adds tension by opposing their efforts. The trailer hints at a story “inspired by the lives of dissidents,” blending political intrigue with the dangers of unchecked technology.

The ensemble cast also includes Darshana Rajendran, Zarin Shihab, Grace Antony, and Geethi Sangeetha. The film marks Mahesh Narayanan’s return to tech-driven storytelling after C U Soon, which also explored similar themes.

Patriot is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on May 1.
