Neeraj Madhav and Althaf Salim Venture Into Space in First Look of Sci-Fi Comedy Pluto

The makers of Pluto have unveiled the first look of the upcoming science-fiction comedy, headlined by Neeraj Madhav and Althaf Salim. Released on Thursday, the vibrant poster instantly sets the tone with its colourful, cosmic design and playful futuristic imagery.

Set against a space-themed backdrop, the poster features four characters—Neeraj Madhav, Althaf Salim, and Mukundan Unni Associates actor Arsha Chandini Baiju among them—seated inside a spacecraft-like pod. Hovering above them are Aju Varghese and two others, adding a layer of whimsy and intrigue to the visual. The design hints at a quirky, offbeat narrative rooted in science fiction and humour.

Directed by Adithyan Chandrashekar, who made his directorial debut with Enkilum Chandrike (2023), Pluto is scripted by Niyas Muhammed. The film sees Althaf Salim essaying the role of an alien, marking an interesting turn in his choice of characters. The ensemble cast also includes Dinesh Prabhakar, Subin SB, and Vineeth Thattil David in key roles.

On the technical front, Pluto boasts cinematography by Vishnu Sarma, editing by Sanath Sivaraj, and music composed by Arcado. The film is produced by Reju Kumar and Resmi Reju under the banner of Orchid Films International, with Jayakrishnan RK serving as executive producer.

Neeraj Madhav was last seen in the JioHotstar web series Love Under Construction, while Althaf Salim’s most recent release was Akhil Sathyan’s Sarvam Maya, starring Nivin Pauly. Meanwhile, director Adithyan Chandrashekar is also gearing up to helm Multiverse Manmadhan, a fantasy film starring Nivin Pauly and backed by Pauly Jr Pictures, which is currently in pre-production.
