Mohanlal’s Vrusshabha trailer surprises viewers with its scale and emotion, teasing a businessman haunted by memories of a past life as a king.
The makers of Vrusshabha have unveiled the much-awaited trailer of the film, headlined by Mohanlal in the lead role. Directed by Nandda Kishore, the bilingual Malayalam-Telugu film is slated for a theatrical release on December 25, 2025, positioning itself as a festive Christmas treat for fans.
Running for 1 minute and 47 seconds, the trailer introduces viewers to a grand narrative that seamlessly shifts between the present and the past. Soon after its release, the trailer sparked widespread discussion on social media. Several viewers admitted they had minimal expectations but were pleasantly surprised by the scale and tone showcased in the preview.
One particular frame from the trailer grabbed attention for reminding audiences of Mohanlal’s look in Aarattu, with some even drawing parallels to a familiar fight sequence. Social media reactions ranged from “Had no expectations, but the trailer looks decent” to humorous remarks like, “The movie may be Vrusshabha, but the comment section is ruled by Aarattu.” Fans also playfully questioned Mohanlal’s appearance, asking if the character was reminiscent of Neyyattinkara Gopan.
In Vrusshabha, Mohanlal portrays a powerful businessman in the present day who begins experiencing vivid memories of a previous life as a mighty king. As these visions intensify, the past starts influencing the present, creating an emotional and mysterious conflict. At its core, the film promises a touching journey that explores the deep bond between a father and his son.
The film also stars Samarjit Lankesh, Nayan Sarika, Ragini Dwivedi, Ajay, Neha Saxena, Vinay Varma, Garuda Ram, Ali, and Kishore in pivotal roles. With music composed by Sam CS, cinematography by Antony Samson, and editing by KM Prakash, Vrusshabha has been shot in Malayalam and Telugu and will also release in Hindi and Kannada.
