Mirage: Asif Ali & Aparna Balamurali Step Into Jeethu Joseph’s World of Twists and Suspense

Acclaimed filmmaker Jeethu Joseph is back with Mirage, a gripping thriller set to release in theatres on September 19. Starring Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali in the lead, the film is jointly scripted by Jeethu Joseph and Srinivas Abrol, based on a story by Aparna R Tarakad.

The recently unveiled teaser already has audiences hooked. It opens with Asif unlocking a locker to reveal a mysterious box and document. Soon, Aparna is seen opening another locker — but it’s empty. The suspense thickens as both return to the first locker, only to find the objects reappear, this time taken by Asif. The teaser crescendos with a tense confrontation, ending in Asif’s chilling warning to Aparna that she is in grave danger.

Joining the lead duo are Hakim Shahjahan, Hannah Reji Koshy, and Sampath in pivotal roles. On the technical side, Jeethu once again teams up with his trusted collaborators — cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, editor Vinayak VS, and music director Vishnu Shyam. The trio are also part of his upcoming Valathu Vashathe Kallan with Joju George and Biju Menon.

Mirage also marks the reunion of Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali after their widely acclaimed Kishkindha Kaandam. Produced by Mukesh R Mehta, Jatin M Sethi, and C V Sarathi under the banner of E4, the film promises an edge-of-the-seat cinematic experience, blending Jeethu’s trademark suspense with fresh intrigue.
