Kalamkaval trailer teases a tense investigation, Vinayakan’s cop role, and Mammootty’s chilling mystery presence. The film releases on Nov 27.
Mammootty Kompany has unveiled the first official trailer of Kalamkaval, featuring Mammootty and Vinayakan, directed by debut filmmaker Jithin K Jose. The trailer offers only a teasing look at the plot, centered around a police officer, played by Vinayakan, who digs into an old case involving a fight between friends that eventually escalated into a communal riot.
Mammootty’s character appears only at the end of the trailer, delivering the chilling line, “Do you know killing what offers the most pleasure?” The answer remains hidden, with the screen fading out as his silhouette smokes in the dark—heightening intrigue and suspense.
The minimal revelation in both the trailer and earlier teaser has sparked excitement among fans, promising a tense showdown between Mammootty’s enigmatic figure and Vinayakan’s intense police officer.
Kalamkaval hits theatres on November 27. Jithin, known for writing Dulquer Salmaan’s Kurup, directs the film from a screenplay co-written with Jishnu Sreekumar. The cast includes Jibin Gopinath of Dies Irae fame and Biju Pappan.
Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films is distributing the film in Kerala. The technical team comprises cinematographer Faisal Ali, editor Praveen Prabhakar, music composer Mujeeb Majeed, and production designer Shajie Naduvil.
