Krishand’s Masthishka Maranam Enters Post-Production, Promises a Mind-Bending VR Thriller

Filmmaker Krishand’s upcoming project Masthishka Maranam (A Frankenbiting of Simon’s Memories) has officially entered post-production. The writer-director shared the update on his Instagram Stories, along with the first-look poster that teases the film’s experimental tone.

The film features a star-studded cast including Vishnu Agasthya, Rajisha Vijayan, Divya Prabha, Suresh Krishna, Jagadish, Rahul Rajagopal, and Ann Saleem. Supporting roles are played by Nandu, Lokah writer Santhy Balachandran, Shambu, Manoj Kana, Zhins Shan, Sreenath Babu, Jain Andrews, Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju, and Anoop Mohandas.

Produced by Vinayaka Ajith under his namesake banner in association with Krishand Films, Masthishka Maranam follows a grieving father who immerses himself in a virtual reality memory game to reconnect with his lost child. Billed as a “mind-bending comedy thriller,” the film combines emotional depth with a futuristic narrative.

Earlier this year, posters featuring the cast with quirky gadgets sparked curiosity around the project. Notably, the collaboration between Ajith Vinayaka Films and Krishand Films also yielded the recent fantasy sci-fi comedy Gaganachari, which gained attention for its alien-centric storyline.

Fresh off the success of his SonyLIV series The Chronicles of the 4.5 Gang, Krishand doubles up as art director for the film alongside Alvin Joseph. The technical team includes cinematographer Prayag Mukundan and composer Varkey, further raising expectations for this genre-defying project.
