Joju George's Varavu gets release date

Joju George’s upcoming film Varavu, directed by Shaji Kailas, is all set to hit theatres on May 1, marking their first collaboration.

Written by A. K. Sajan—who has previously worked with Shaji Kailas on films like Dhrona 2010 and Chinthamani Kolacase—the film is an action thriller set in the high ranges. It is produced by Naisy Reji under Olga Productions, with Jomy Joseph as co-producer.

The story revolves around Polachan (Poly), a wealthy planter who returns to his native land to confront old rivalries and unfinished business, setting the stage for an intense narrative rooted in personal conflicts.

The film features a strong ensemble cast including Vani Viswanath, Murali Gopy, Arjun Ashokan, Saniya Iyappan, Sukanya, Baburaj, Vincy Aloshious, Ashwin Kumar, Abhimanyu Thilakan and Biju Pappan among others.

On the technical side, the film has cinematography by S. Saravanan, editing by Shameer Muhammed, music composed by Sam C. S. and action choreography by Kalai Kingson.

Following Valathu Vashathe Kallan, Joju George also has projects like Aja Sundari and Aasha lined up, and is set to direct Deluxe, a spiritual sequel to his debut directorial Pani.

With its intense storyline and strong cast, Varavu is gearing up to be a gripping action drama this summer.
