The much-anticipated film Grrr, starring Kunchacko Boban and Suraj Venjaramoodu, has successfully completed its censorship formalities and received a 'U' certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The makers confirmed this via their social media handles, with Kunchacko Boban sharing the news on Instagram.
Directed by Jay K, who is known for his previous work on Ezra, Grrr is expected to be a comedy entertainer. The film revolves around a man who inadvertently stumbles into the enclosure of a lion named Darshan. Jay K co-wrote the screenplay and dialogue with Praveen S. In an earlier interview with ETimes, Jay K shared the inspiration behind the film, stating, "We have heard about many real incidents where people trespassed into wild cat enclosures in many zoos in various parts of the world including India. So that has sort of served as an inspiration for the story."
On the technical front, Jayesh Nair is the cinematographer, and Vivek Harshan is the editor. The original background score is composed by Dawn Vincent, with music jointly composed by Dawn Vincent, Kailas Menon, and Tony Tarz. Grrr is set to hit theaters on June 14, promising an entertaining cinematic experience.
