Babil Khan’s Malayalam Debut Titled Gandhi Bazaar Sunday Market

Babil Khan is all set to make his Malayalam cinema debut with Gandhi Bazaar Sunday Market, directed by Babu Janardhanan. The makers unveiled the film’s title along with a first-look poster featuring Babil’s character on Sunday, though the poster was later removed from social media.

Announcing the project, Gurukripa Productions described the film as the beginning of a new story featuring a “powerful new face” in Malayalam cinema. The production is expected to commence soon.

The film also stars Aparna Balamurali, Deepak Parambol, Johny Antony, Sudheer Karamana, Jagadish, Athmiya, Nikhil Nair, Unni Raja, and Jayashankar in important roles.

On the technical front, the film has music composed by Nandhagopan V, cinematography by Fazil Nazer, and editing by Sooraj ES. The project is produced by Anilkumar Sivadas under the Gurukripa Productions banner.

Director Babu Janardhanan is known for films like Bombay March 12, Lisammayude Veedu, and God For Sale. As a writer, he has contributed to films including Varnapakittu and City of God.

Babil Khan made his acting debut with Qala and has since appeared in projects like Friday Night Plan, Logout, and the acclaimed series The Railway Men.
