Athiradi to Kick Off with Special Paid Premieres Ahead of Release

Basil Joseph has announced that Athiradi will have special paid premiere screenings on May 13, a day before its theatrical release. The premiere shows are scheduled to begin from 6:30 pm onwards in selected theatres worldwide.

Headlined by Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, and Vineeth Sreenivasan, the campus-based action entertainer is slated for a global theatrical release on May 14. The film recently completed its censor formalities and received a U certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, making it suitable for audiences of all age groups.

Athiradi also marks Basil Joseph’s debut as a producer, with the film backed in association with Dr Ananthu Entertainments. Directed by Arun Anirudhan, the project marks his directorial debut after previously co-writing films like Minnal Murali and Padayottam.

The screenplay is jointly written by Arun Anirudhan and Paulson Skaria, known for co-writing Kaathal – The Core. The film promises a festive and energetic entertainer set against a campus backdrop.

The ensemble cast also includes Riya Shibu, Zarin Shihab, and Darshana Rajendran. On the technical front, the film features cinematography by Samuel Henry, editing by Chaman Chakko, and music composed by Vishnu Vijay.

Apart from Basil and Dr Ananthu Entertainments, the film is also co-produced by Tovino Thomas and filmmaker-cinematographer Sameer Thahir.
