'Aadu 3’ Might Involve Time Travel, Teases Saiju Kurup!

The wildly popular Aadu franchise is gearing up for its third installment, and fans might be in for the most unexpected twist yet—time travel! Actor Saiju Kurup, who plays the ever-entertaining Arakkal Abu, recently hinted in an interview with Movie World Media that Aadu 3 could explore time travel, a theme rarely touched in Malayalam cinema. “This one’s going to be exciting and fun,” he shared, revealing that the story will span two different time periods while keeping other details under wraps.

Directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, Aadu 3 is reportedly being produced on a much larger budget than its predecessors. Saiju added that the elevated production value reflects the team’s ambition to raise the bar for the franchise, promising an even more entertaining experience than Aadu (2015) and Aadu 2 (2017).

The Aadu films are known for their absurd humor, quirky characters, and chaotic plots—starting with a goat as a prize and spiraling into madness involving gangsters, politicians, and a pink bag. Jayasurya will return as the beloved Shaji Pappan, with familiar faces like Vinayakan, Vijay Babu, Dharmajan Bolgatty, and Indrans expected to reprise their roles.
