Kannada superstar Yash is set to return to the big screen with Toxic – A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which is slated for release on March 19, 2026. The film’s strategic release date aligns with multiple festivals, including Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, and Chaitra Navratri, followed by Eid-al-Fitr, creating an extended box office window.
Directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker Geetu Mohandas (Moothon), Toxic is being hailed as a game-changer for Kannada cinema. It marks a groundbreaking move as the first major Indian film to be conceptualized, written, and filmed simultaneously in both Kannada and English, signaling its global ambitions. The film will also be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and other languages to ensure a wider reach.
This high-octane action thriller is backed by KVN Productions and Yash’s own banner, Monster Mind Creations, with Venkat K. Narayana co-producing. Following the massive success of K.G.F: Chapter 1 & 2, Yash has become one of Indian cinema’s most bankable stars, and Toxic is expected to further solidify his pan-Indian and international appeal.
With its unique concept, ambitious scale, and a carefully planned release to maximize audience engagement, Toxic is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Indian films of 2026.
