The teaser of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups introduces Yash in a ferocious new avatar under the direction of Geetu Mohandas. Packed with stylised violence and striking imagery, the film is set for a major box-office showdown on March 19, 2026.

The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups have released the much-anticipated teaser, offering a glimpse into a dark, violent, and visually arresting world. Headlined by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on March 19, 2026, setting up a high-profile clash with Dhurandhar 2.

The teaser opens with a chilling declaration — “This war will be different” — immediately establishing a grim tone. A series of surreal visuals featuring a Royal Circus unfold, intercut with intense close-ups of Yash’s character, Raya. A voice cautions him against defying the world, only for the montage to escalate into relentless action sequences marked by explosions, gunfire, and raw brutality.

Yash’s dramatic screen presence peaks as he rises from a bathtub and launches a savage attack on an adversary, delivering the line, “It’s over when I say it’s over.” The teaser concludes with an unsettling act of violence, making it clear that Toxic is unafraid to embrace its dark, adult themes.

The film marks Yash’s return to the big screen after four years, following the historic success of KGF: Chapter 2. In addition to starring, Yash has co-produced the project under his banner Monstermind Creations and has also co-written the script with Geetu Mohandas. The movie is backed by KVN Productions.

International action specialist JJ Perry, known for his work in John Wick and Fast & Furious, has choreographed the stunts, alongside Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee. The technical crew includes music composer Ravi Basrur, cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, and editor Ujwal Kulkarni.

Toxic boasts a strong ensemble cast featuring Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria, with their first-look posters already generating significant buzz.

Despite industry speculation about a possible postponement to avoid clashing with Dhurandhar 2 — the sequel to Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh — the makers have firmly stood by the announced release date.

With its bold visual language, international-scale action, and Yash’s commanding screen presence, Toxic is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about Indian films of 2026.
