Sushmitha Bhatt Joins Prajwal–Raj B Shetty’s Intense Drama Karavali

The makers of Karavali, starring Prajwal Devaraj and featuring Raj B Shetty in a key role as Mahaveera, have added Sushmitha Bhatt to the cast for an important character. This marks her third venture in Kannada cinema.

In the film, Sushmitha plays a young woman from Mangaluru, and the team recently revealed the first glimpse of her character. She shared that her biggest motivation to sign the project was the chance to work alongside Raj B Shetty, praising his focus, calm energy, and the engaging atmosphere he creates on set. Although her shoot schedule was brief, she described the experience as deeply enriching.

Karavali also stars Sampada, Mitra, Ramesh Indira, and Sridhar, hinting at a narrative driven by strong performances and layered characters.

Directed by Gurudatha Gaaniga and produced under Gaaniga Films in collaboration with VK Film Association, the film is set in a rural landscape and explores the tension between humans and animals, inspired by true incidents from coastal and interior Karnataka.

The technical crew includes Sachin Basrur composing the music and Abhimanyu Sadanandan handling cinematography.
