Siddu Moolimani’s Horror-Comedy Seat Edge Begins OTT Journey After Theatrical Run

Following its theatrical release across Karnataka on January 30, Seat Edge has now entered the digital space, bringing its blend of horror, comedy, and suspense to a wider audience. The film stars Siddu Moolimani in the lead and marks the directorial debut of Chetan Shetty.

Produced by Giridhar T Vasanthapura under the NR Cinema Productions banner, with Sujatha Giridhar serving as co-producer, the film showcased Siddu Moolimani in a prominent role after Love You Muddu.

Seat Edge revolves around a vlogger obsessed with gaining online popularity through ghost-hunting content. In his quest for views and viral fame, he ventures into dangerous territory, only to find himself trapped in a series of unexpected and terrifying events. Combining thrills with humour, the film also offers commentary on the growing trend of content creators taking extreme risks for social media attention.Director Chetan Shetty had earlier revealed that the story was inspired by the lengths some vloggers and YouTubers go to in pursuit of fame and engagement. He explained that the film explores the consequences of recklessly stepping into the unknown while maintaining a darkly comic and suspenseful tone.

Before making his directorial debut, Chetan worked as an assistant director on Chemistry of Kariyappa and Critical Keerthanegalu, making Seat Edge his first feature film as a filmmaker.

The movie was shot over 45 days across Bengaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga, and Kuduremukha. The technical team includes cinematographer Deepak Kumar JK, editor Nagendra K Ujjani, and music composer Akash Parva. One of the film’s highlights, the song ‘Hango Hingo’, composed by Akash Parva, had gone viral before the film’s release and helped generate early buzz.

While the makers have confirmed the film’s OTT debut, details regarding the streaming platform and release date have not yet been officially disclosed.
