Sanchii, nephew of Kichcha Sudeep, debuts with Mango Pachcha, a Mysuru-set crime thriller releasing this Sankranti on January 15.
Sanchii, nephew of Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep, is set to make his much-awaited acting debut with Mango Pachcha, releasing this Sankranti on January 15. The festival release underscores the young actor’s strong roots in Kannada cinema and celebrates the legacy of his film family.
The teaser, marked by its retro tone, has already sparked audience curiosity. Sanchii represents the third generation of a prominent cinematic lineage—following his grandfather Sanjeev, a respected producer-distributor, and Sudeep, a pan-Indian star.
In recent years, Sankranti has been dominated by non-Kannada big-budget films, but Mango Pachcha hopes to shift the spotlight back to local cinema. The film has created a buzz by selling its audio rights to Saregama for an impressive ₹1.2 crore, a rare feat for a debutant project.
Directed by Vivek and produced by Supriyanvi Studios and KRG Studios, the film is a crime thriller set in Mysuru, tracing events from 2001 to 2011. Shot extensively in the city, it showcases Mysuru’s culture while weaving a tense, gripping storyline. Kajal Kundar stars as the female lead alongside a lively supporting cast including Mayur Patel, Bhavana, Hamsa, Harini Srikant, Jai Gopinath, and Prashanth Hiremath.
Shekar Chandra handles the cinematography, while Charan Raj composes the music. The film features high-energy action sequences designed by Ravivarma and Satish, as well as a melodic dance number choreographed by E Harsha.
