Rishab Shetty’s Jai Hanuman, directed by Prasanth Varma, begins its journey with a grand muhurat at Anjanadri Betta on Feb 22.
Actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty, who tasted phenomenal success with Kantara: Chapter 1, is gearing up for his next ambitious venture, Jai Hanuman. The star is stepping deeper into large-scale mythological storytelling, a genre that has recently captivated audiences across India.
The much-anticipated project will hold its grand muhurat ceremony at Anjanadri Betta on February 22. The spiritually significant location, believed to be associated with Lord Hanuman, lends symbolic depth to the film’s launch, aligning perfectly with its devotional theme. Following the ceremony, production is expected to commence, marking the formal beginning of this cinematic spectacle.
Directed by Prasanth Varma, the film follows the massive success of HanuMan, which starred Teja Sajja in the lead. The superhero-mythology blend struck a chord nationwide and laid the foundation for the expanding Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. With Jai Hanuman, the director aims to elevate the scale further, both narratively and visually.
Rishab Shetty will portray Lord Hanuman, a role demanding significant physical transformation and emotional intensity. While pre-production is nearing completion, filming is expected to begin soon after the muhurat. The actor is likely to join the shoot schedule shortly thereafter.
Backed by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series, Jai Hanuman is poised to be one of the most awaited mythological films in contemporary Indian cinema.
