Rakkasapuradhol Trailer Unveils Raj B Shetty as a Troubled Cop on a Chilling Murder Trail

The trailer of Rakkasapuradhol offers a gripping first look at Raj B Shetty in a role far removed from the conventional cop image. Sporting a dishevelled beard and an unpolished demeanor, Shetty plays a police officer whose credibility is questioned by his own colleagues. Rumoured to have undergone treatment at a mental health facility and known for his drinking habits, he is hardly the obvious choice for a sensitive investigation.

Yet, when a mysterious murder rocks a normally peaceful town, he is the one assigned to crack the case.

The trailer hints at a layered investigation involving a suspicious black car, unanswered questions surrounding the victim’s death, and whispers of a possible supernatural angle. As the narrative unfolds, the film teases an eerie atmosphere where nothing — and no one — can be taken at face value.

Raj B Shetty is joined by an ensemble cast that includes Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Archana Kottige, and Swathishta Krishna. The film marks the directorial debut of Ravi Saranga, who has previously worked closely with filmmaker Prem. Rakkasapuradhol also marks the first production venture of renowned stunt choreographer Ravi Verma.

The trailer was launched on January 29 by Kiccha Sudeep, who took time off from his CCL commitments to unveil the project. Music for the film is composed by Arjun Janya, while cinematography is handled by William David.

For Raj B Shetty, Rakkasapuradhol continues a busy phase in his career. The actor was recently seen in 45, which released in December 2025, and in Landlord, where he played the antagonist. This film, however, places him front and centre in a performance that promises intensity, mystery, and psychological depth.

Rakkasapuradhol is scheduled to hit theatres on February 6, 2026.
