Rakkasapuradhol, starring Raj B Shetty as a conflicted inspector, unveils a chilling teaser and confirms a February 6 theatrical release.

Rakkasapuradhol, featuring Raj B Shetty in the lead, is set to hit theatres on February 6. The makers announced the release date with a striking teaser that immediately establishes the film’s eerie mood and psychological undertones.

Previously revealed to portray an inspector, Raj B Shetty’s character is shown grappling with a conflict far deeper than a routine police case. The teaser hints at a man caught between his sense of duty and a darker, unsettling side within him. Rather than following the template of a conventional cop drama, the film delves into a disturbing personal struggle that slowly begins to consume him.

The teaser opens in a seemingly peaceful village embraced by nature. While the setting appears serene, an undercurrent of unease runs through the visuals. As the teaser unfolds, themes of death, fear, belief, and superstition surface, pointing towards an inner turmoil that mirrors the external crime narrative. A powerful visual motif—the “evil eye” associated with Raj’s character—suggests a transformation from protector to potential threat.

At its core, Rakkasapuradhol explores duality, examining how every individual carries opposing sides: one bound by rules and morality, and another that questions, resists, or even defies them. The film asks what happens when a law enforcer is forced to confront his own inner demons.

2026 is shaping up to be a packed year for Raj B Shetty. Following the success of his productions Su From So and 45, the actor continues to take on diverse projects. Ahead of Rakkasapuradhol, he will also be seen in Landlord, co-starring Duniya Vijay and Rachita Ram, which is slated for a January release.

Rakkasapuradhol marks the first production venture of Ravi Varma and the directorial debut of Ravi Saranga, a longtime associate of filmmaker Jogi Prem. Set in and around Kollegala, the film is firmly rooted in a crime backdrop, blending psychological depth with rural grit.
