Raj B Shetty Ignites Screens as Maveera in Coastal Action Saga ‘Karavali’

Following his acclaimed performance in Su From So, Raj B Shetty returns in a fiery new role as Maveera in the upcoming political action drama Karavali. The film, set along the coast, is rich with the region’s culture, particularly traditions like Kambala, and deals with powerful themes such as man vs. beast, tradition vs. nature, and the ethics of survival.

Raj B Shetty's portrayal of Maveera is already generating buzz. In the first-look poster titled "Arrival of Maveera", he appears with intense determination—kneeling like a Kambala racer, holding a goal in his hand, his eyes full of fire. This raw, coastal energy has captivated audiences and created immense curiosity about the character.

Director Gurudatha Ganiga revealed that they initially didn’t have a clear choice for the role of Maveera. "We met many actors, but we needed someone who truly felt the emotional and cultural weight of the region. Raj B Shetty was the perfect fit," he said. Although Raj was initially busy with other commitments, including Su From So, he agreed to join after viewing some compelling visuals from the shoot.

Karavali features Prajwal Devraj in the lead role, supported by Mithra, Ramesh Indira, and Sampatha. The music is composed by Sachin Basrur. Shot extensively across the coastal belts of Karnataka, the film promises a multi-layered narrative blending action, local customs, and the conflict between human needs and natural order.

With its compelling themes and culturally grounded storytelling, Karavali is expected to make a strong impact when it hits the screens soon.
