Aniissh’s Love OTP blends romance, action, cricket, and comedy, inspired by a cop’s hilarious real-life story. Releasing this November!
Writer, director, and actor Aniissh is back with his latest project, Love OTP (Over Torture Pressure) — a youthful entertainer that promises an energetic mix of romance, action, cricket, father-son tension, and comic chaos.
The recently released trailer hints at a rollercoaster of emotions and laughter, introducing viewers to Akshay, a young man chasing his cricket dreams but constantly getting sidetracked by love. What follows is a delightful mess of heartbreaks, friendships, and run-ins with the law — all packed with humour and heart.
“The term OTP has many meanings,” laughs Aniissh. “For me, it’s Over Torture Pressure. But I didn’t feel that pressure while making this film. I wrote, acted, and directed it with complete joy. Everyone can cook biryani — it’s the flavour that makes it unique. Likewise, I’ve added my own flavour to this film. Whatever happens, Aniissh will never make a bad film!”
Having previously directed Ramarjuna, Aniissh says Love OTP allowed him to experiment with a more youthful tone. “The story actually came from an ACP friend of mine,” he reveals. “He once complained that his son had too many girlfriends — I found that hilarious! That one line became the seed for this story about a strict father caught in his son’s chaotic love life.”
Produced by Vijay M Reddy under Bhavaprita Productions and presented by Pushpa Munireddy, Love OTP features Swaroopini (formerly Arohi Narayan), Swathi, Rajeev Kanakala, Janhvi Kakalakere, Krishna Bhatt, and marks the comeback of Pramodini.
With music by Anand Rajavikram and cinematography by Harsha Vardhan K, Love OTP has secured a U/A certification and is slated for a November release.
