Kiran Raj’s Sherr Locks May 15 Release, Promises Gritty Action Drama

Actor Kiran Raj is gearing up for his big-screen comeback with Sherr, an action-packed thriller directed by Prasiddh. The film is scheduled for a statewide theatrical release on May 15, with the announcement coinciding with the launch of its trailer.

Known for his popular television roles in Kannadathi and the ongoing Karna, Kiran steps into a completely different space with Sherr. He plays an orphaned youngster, showcasing a more intense and layered character compared to his earlier roles.

Joining him on screen is Tanisha Kuppanda, who essays a tough police officer, marking her first role in uniform. Actress Surekha plays the female lead, while Krish takes on the role of the primary antagonist. The film is produced by Dr Sudarshan Sundararaj under the Grace Raj Productions banner.

Speaking about the film, Kiran Raj credits director Prasiddh for presenting him as an action hero and expresses confidence that audiences will connect with the film’s emotional and action-driven narrative. For Prasiddh, Sherr marks his third directorial venture. He emphasizes that while the storyline may feel familiar, it offers a compelling take on the lives of orphaned children and the circumstances that shape their paths.

The film has been awarded an ‘A’ certificate and is said to feature intense character arcs, drawing comparisons to films like Duniya, particularly in its portrayal of the antagonist.

Sherr is distributed by KRG Studios, with cinematography by Kitty Kaushik and music composed by Vijay Gummineni.
