45, helmed by Arjun Janya, makes history as the first Kannada film to feature Uganda’s traditional dancers, fusing African vibrance with Kannada music. Starring Shivarajkumar, Upendra, and Raj B Shetty, this cultural collaboration marks a bold international leap for Kannada cinema.

In a groundbreaking move for Indian cinema, the upcoming Kannada film 45 is set to become a cultural milestone—not just regionally or nationally, but globally. Initially envisioned as a pan-India venture, 45 has now expanded its horizons with an unprecedented collaboration: featuring Uganda’s world-renowned traditional dancers, making it the first Kannada film to do so.

Directed by celebrated music director Arjun Janya, who is making his directorial debut, the film blends Kannada musical traditions with the high-energy performance style of African dance. “I want the world to hear Kannada songs through their energy and talent,” says Janya. “This is a celebration of rhythm without boundaries.”

The Ugandan dancers, known for their dynamic movements and vibrant costumes, are expected to bring a fresh, global dimension to the film’s soundtrack and visual palette. With massive international fan followings, their participation aims to position Kannada music and dance on the global map.

Producer Ramesh Reddy called the collaboration a “landmark moment” for the industry. “What started as a pan-India dream is now an international cinematic venture. We are not just catering to Indian audiences anymore—we are speaking a universal language of culture and expression.”

Starring Kannada cinema icons Shivarajkumar, Upendra, and Raj B Shetty, 45 is now more than just a star-studded action-drama—it’s a celebration of cultural unity and artistic fusion.
