Hombale Films Launches Mahavatar Cinematic Universe with ‘Narasimha’ Releasing in July 2025

Hombale Films, the studio behind blockbusters like KGF and Kantara, has announced an expansive new venture — the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe — in collaboration with Kleem Productions. The first installment in this grand animation franchise, titled Mahavatar Narasimha, is slated for release on July 25, 2025.

This cinematic universe will unfold over the next twelve years, bringing to life the stories of Lord Vishnu’s ten avatars across a series of animated films. The release calendar outlines a lineup of epic titles including Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dhawkadhesh (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), and the two-part finale Mahavatar Kalki (2035 and 2037).

Director Ashwin Kumar expressed his excitement, stating, “With Hombale Films and Kleem Productions, we are bringing Bharat’s heritage to the big screen on an unprecedented scale. The Mahavatar universe will be a transcendental cinematic experience. Now, Bharat will roar.”

Producer Shilpaa Dhawan added, “This is just the beginning. The scale, the stories, the ambition — everything is epic. We’re excited to bring these divine tales to life for a new generation.”

An official statement from Hombale Films emphasized the spiritual and cultural depth of the project, calling Mahavatar a tribute to India’s sacred storytelling traditions. The films will be released in 3D and in five Indian languages, offering a broad, immersive experience for audiences across the country.

Beyond films, the Mahavatar franchise will extend to comics, video games, digital experiences, and collectibles, forming a robust multi-platform initiative that enables fans to engage with these timeless tales across generations and formats.
