‘Elta Mutta’: A Fresh Attempt by Debutant Director Ra. Surya

With Elta Mutta, young filmmaker Ra. Surya marks his directorial debut in Kannada cinema. Having directed a few short films in the past, Surya, who comes from a medical background, has now turned his passion for films into action. This movie introduces Shaurya Pratap as the lead actor, who is testing his fortune in the industry. He is joined by Priyanka Malali as the female lead.

The supporting cast includes Cockroach Sudhi, Yamuna Sreenidhi, and Naveen Padil, among others. Most of the filming has taken place in Nelaji, near Madikeri, while some scenes have also been shot in and around Bengaluru. Under the banner of Hi5 Studios, the film is being produced by director Ra. Surya, lead actor Shaurya Pratap, Prasanna Keshav, Ruhhaan Arya, and Basavarajeshwari Bhoomraddi.

Elta Mutta—the title being derived from the names of two key characters—promises to be a new-age cinematic attempt that shines light on emerging talent. A release is expected soon.
